So, last night I beat Call of Duty: World at War. Let me say one thing to start this off: I still hate World War II games. Alright, I'll carry on.
We live in an age with higher technology and more destructive weapons. I don't want OLD shit. I've ranted enough about that, so I'll carry on with a smaller review(before I record my video review).
As far as the story, it was pretty boring to be honest. I didn't feel involved with the characters and all I was doing was point and shooting. I understand it's a shooter, but come on...could it be anymore boring? At least in Call of Duty 4, I felt a bit more "into" the game, because it dealt with our current war times.
You're separated into two different campaigns essentially:
1) America vs Japanese - Probably my least favorite to be honest.
2) Soviet Union vs Germany - Still pretty dull, but at least I had more fun with this one.
I did like the "dramatic" ending to the second campaign, but there has been a lot better. I'm not sure if it's the difficulty level I was playing on (always start on the middle ground - just to get through the story) but shooters don't seem to challenge much of anything anymore. Especially this game.
It's weird because I never wanted Gears of War 2 to end, but I couldn't wait to just beat this (I never wanted Call of Duty 4 to end).
The one cool thing was after you beat the game, you get Nazi Zombie mode. Didn't get to drive too deep into it, but I'll definitely check it out more and talk about it.
That's a quick look at the game.

Nazi Zombie Mode sounds incredibly intriguing, haha.
awesome vid shepdawg im gonna get cod5 but only the multiplayer
i agree man. i'm so sick to death of WW2 shooters. Why would you want to use like Thompsons and Riffles when you can use the crazy guns from COD4? I'm just so done with WW2. I'd rather even see a Vietnam game come out, or even Korean War for that matter.
I know people say killing Nazis never gets old, but for me, it has.
