Update

So, of course, my life cannot go without something going wrong. I got a call from Brittany's dad yesterday. He went to check out the house and found out that our wind storm, screwed up a lot of the roof and someone had also broke in by knocking the glass out of the door in the back. Two things that happened after I put my offer in. So, they can either pay for those repairs, or I'm pulling out.

Secondly, I watched Freedom Writers with Brittany last night. I was really impressed. I bought it because I wanted it and because of Sixty's review. It's a very, very touching movie and I really enjoyed it. I recommend it to anyone.

Gotta run.

Our bid on the house was accepted! Very excited and happy today! Going to sign paper work today and I think we close on the 12th of October. After that, A LOT of work is going to be done. I'll definitely post pictures of now and the progress. WOOOOT!

High Winds!

So, yesterday..I think I came the closest I ever will in Ohio to dealing with winds similar to a hurricane. Hurricane Ike's remnants, bashed against Ohio yesterday causing 1.5 million people to be without power and doing a lot of damage. It was rough.

Luckily, I have power and so does my work(DAMNIT!), haha.

Saturday: My Buckeyes got embarrised by USC. Kinda knew it was going to happen though, but it sucks badly. Got hammered after the game and played Rock Band with my wife/uncle and his girlfriend.

Sunday: Made an offer on a house. Hopefully, we get it. It's perfect for both of our wants. It does need 15k-20k worth of work, but it will be extremely beautiful if we can get it and once work is all done.

Today I ordered Heroes: Season 1 because Brittany needed to finish it and Heroes: Season 2 arrived today. I'll wait for her to catch up, but I'm anxious to watch it.

Anyways, I'm going to go eat lunch. Take care everyone!

Bored

Here I sit at work, bored. We are slow right now and I'm stuck sitting on my ass, you can only do so much on the internet before your bored to death. Anyways...

Yesterday: Worked, stopped into Best Buy to say hey to all my friends and got Baby Mama for the wifey. After that I went home, showered and watched Heroes all night. I only have 3 episodes left of season 1!

I bought Heroes: Season 2 off Amazon yesterday for $27-28 shipped, it was on sale(37% off). So excited!

That's about all the news I have! Take care!

Short Blog

Doing these blogs are fun, even if they are short. Quick update of what happened since last blog:

-I watched 6 more episodes of Heroes. Holy shit, I love this series!

-The total estimate of my car in damage is: $2,504.75, ought to give you a rough idea of how much damage was done to the passenger front corner of my car.

-Going to get Brittany one more gift for her b-day on the 20th, "Baby Mama" on DVD today. She loved this movie and even though I got her a dog that cost a shit load, what's $16? I spoil her, but she deserves it, she has always been there for me and I love her with all my heart.

-Going to watch more Heroes tonight after work!

That's about it.

P.S. Has anyone talked to Fran lately? I messaged her and haven't heard back, I hope all is well with her.

Good News

Thank God, shortly after posting my blog yesterday I received a call from her(the lady who backed into me) insurance agent. They are accepting full liability, so I drove my car to my repair shop this morning and dropped it off.

I also have a rental car paid for since I have nothing to drive, they gave me a PT Cruiser. Surprisingly, it's a pretty nice car. It's not as fast at my Grand AM GT, but it's a very nice and smooth car.

One last thing, I've been watching Heroes(watched 6 or 7 episodes last night of the first season) and WOW, I'm obcessed with watching this show. I don't see how people could wait for the next episode. It's such a good show, I can't wait to watch more after work.

Other than that, I've been offered to do videos on a game reviewing website. It's to get your name out their, so I think I may take up that offer. The cool thing is I can continue to upload to youtube, so that website will be solely for exposure. It's currently open to invitation only, but should be available to the public in the future.

Anyways, I'm off to do some work(just got here).

Shitty Weekend

Friday: Worked and then got some mexican food from one of my favorite places to eat, Fiesta Mariachi. After that, we were watching Fool's Gold, but Brittany fell asleep, so I told her to go ahead and get in bed and we can finish it later. After she went to sleep, I watched School for Scoundrels. I found it to be very funny. I enjoyed it.

Saturday: Horrible day. My realtor asked us to pick up some papers from his office(WHICH WE DIDN'T EVEN NEED) and on my way out of the apartment, some dumbass backs into my car as I'm driving. She has the audacity(SP?) to say, "You didn't see me?". Obviously not, you dumbshit, or I would have stopped, besides I'm in the right of way and I shouldn't be looking for idiots backing out, that's your job. GAH! So, due to the fact that it was in a apartment complex, the police wouldn't come out, because it was, "on private property", so I have a feeling no one will get faulted and I'll be fucked over. It's over $2000 of damage, I'd say.

*Sports alert* To top that off, the Buckeyes looked like the biggest piece of shit against a very shitty team and barely came out with a victory. We only play the #1 ranked team next Saturday. GREAT. Oh well, I support my team.

After that, my buddy came over and watched the ECU vs. West Virginia upset. Then we went to pick up pizza and went to my other bud's house to watch the Florida vs. Miami(FL) game. I hate Florida, but my friend is a big Flordia fan. After that, we watched the UFC fight. Chuck Liddell got his ass kicked, it sucked.

So, no investigation as I had a investigator cancel at the last moment, leaving me with a brand new investigator, I couldn't train and do everything else by myself, plus my car is fucked.

Sunday: Went to Roosters with my friends to watch the Miami Dolphins game. They played well, but lost. Pretty much lost on a bullshit play by Brett Farve. Farve = douche. Came home and relaxed for a bit. Went to my dads to say hey and borrowed Heroes Season 1, I've always wanted to see this show, so I'm excited to watch it.

That's my weekend in a nutshell. Take care.

Movie Review: Felon

Felon starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff was a fantastic movie. It's about a guy(Dorff) who is about to get married and has a son, when suddenly one night a burgler breaks into their home and he accidently kills him. Dorff's character is charged with involuntary manslaughter and is charged with 3 years in prison.

The movie centers around prison life(groups(they are broken down as:whites/blacks/hispanics), corruption in police, and how to cope with being stuck in prison while you miss your family).

It was a very good performance from Dorff(who was the bad guy in Blade) and Kilmer(who I'm not normally a fan of at all). I recommend this movie to anyone interested in a drama/action movie. Very bloody and brutal.

I'd give this movie 4/5 stars.

DVD Update!

Finally got some new DVD's from my favorite store: BUYBACKS! This blog will be short as I'll pretty much post what I bought. Here goes:

1) Kicking and Screaming starring Will Ferrel; now this isn't my favorite movie at all, but I couldn't pass it up for $3.99. It's just one of those goofy ass movies that makes me laugh when I put it in.

2) Freedom Writers starring Hillary Swank and Patrick Dempsey; I have never seen this movie, but Brittany really wanted to see it in theatres at release and I thought it looked very interesting, so I went ahead an snatched it up for $4.99.

3) Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift starring Lucas Black; I really liked the first two and never got a chance to see this one. I'm assuming it's the worst out of the three, but I gave it a shot for $3.99.

4) A Scanner Darkly starring Keenau Reaves, Robert Downey Jr., Winona Ryder and more; A good friend of mine swears by this movies on how good it is, he claims it's one of his favorites, so I finally broke down and bought it to give it a shot for $4.99.

5) Carlito's Way starring Al Pacino and Sean Penn; I've always wanted to see this but it was always so damn expensive, I love Al Pacino films and I love gangster films, so this has to be good. I can't wait to watch it, got it for $4.99.

6) School for Scoundrels starring Billy Bob Thorton and Jon Heder; I remember seeing this films trailer and thinking it looked hilarious but never got a chance to see it. I'm sure it will probably be a dud just like Mr. Woodcock, but I gave it a shot for $4.99.

7) The Reaping starring Hillary Swank; I've always looked at this movie and put it down(primarily because it was always above my range on spending on one movie) and it just looked like it would be a flop. I've heard many good things about it and I'm hoping its gory. So for $3.99, I hope it's good.

and last but not least:

8) Fool's Gold starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson; I bought this because Brittany had begged me to get it for her. She loved it and I really enjoyed it. It's a good movie for anyone.

So, I usually come home with movies I've already seen but this time. 6/8 of the movies I've not seen yet. If anyone would like a blog review of any movie I own, just let me know.

Fun Weekend!

Friday: My wife and I put an offer on a house. I'm really pulling for it, but someone had made a offer 2 days before we did, but I'm staying positive for Brittany. It's a 4 level split, tiny backyard(I plan on moving by the time I have kids and they've grown up enough-only plan to live there for 7 years, going to try and get pregnant in 4 1/2 to 5 years) but it does have a deck, while will be nice. Not many things need done to the house, a lot of yard work(but that's easy enough) and some carpet laying and drywall in the basement when we save up the money. There is one room though that has hot pink carpet and bright yellow walls, I will be changing that when I can. Not my style in the least.

Saturday: I went to the Season Opener of the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Youngstown State game. We won 43-0, it was awesome. Our star running back went down with a injury, hopefully he can return for the game Saturday. After that, went to play poker at my dads house. I ended up 5th out of 15 or 16? I kind of lost focus when Brittany accidently dropped beanie and he was hurt pretty bad, seems to be doing really well now.

Sunday: Went camping at Mohican. I went canoeing(SP?) for the first time ever. It was fun, except for the dumbasses who blocked up the damn river and you can't get through or the drunk idiots who try to attempt to canoe. Otherwise, it was fun, I was sore as hell though. I played a shit ton of cornhole(I love that game, so damn fun) and ate a badass dinner. It was a good day.

Monday: Went and looked at a couple more houses and just stopped by family. Didn't do too much, just relaxed.

That was my weekend in a nutshell and now I'm at work! Boo!

I'm planning on a ustream next week, but I can't make promises. See you all later!
